Vanessa Elkins

5th-6th Grade Math & Science Teacher

Vanessa Elkins, was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Vanessa is a proud graduate of New Mexico State University with a bachelor’s degree in Education with an emphasis in science. Vanessa is married to Ryan Elkins, and together they are raising their two wonderful children. This is Vanessa’s 3rd year teaching math and science at Artesia Classical Academy.

Faith and family are the foundations of Vanessa’s life. She is passionate about living with intentionality and finding joy in the simple things; whether that’s exploring the beauty of the outdoors with her loyal canine companion, staying active through fitness, or nurturing young minds through education while pointing them towards the one who created it all. Vanessa’s faith plays a big role in her life and inspires how she teaches and connects with students each day.

Nature is where Vanessa feels closest to God and most refreshed. Trail running, swimming, biking, or just time spent in the fresh air is where you will find her when she’s not in the classroom.
