Veterans Day

Thank you to all the men and women who have served and are serving our country! Thank you to the men who not only served our country, but took time out of their day to help teach our students a lesson about freedom.
ACA students came to school today and found they had no desks in their classrooms. They were told they would get the desks back if they were able to tell their teachers how they could earn them. Later today, students found that the answer was that they couldn’t earn them because the desks were simply given to them—like the freedoms they have as Americans. Just as these amazing veterans worked to bring the students their desks to make life easier in school, soldiers have worked tirelessly and given everything to give American citizens their freedoms. Now that the students have their desks back, they have the responsibility to not only be grateful for them but to be responsible with their freedoms. We pray that tomorrow these children may view Veterans Day differently than they have before.
Saying thank you is not adequate; nonetheless, we are grateful for our veterans!
(Note: This wasn’t an original idea, but a powerful one.).
